8.1.8 Gen. 50: Jacob’s Burial and Joseph’s Death

After the climax of Jacob’s blessing, here actually only the befitting swan song with burial and death comes. But at the end there is once again the pronounced forgiveness of Joseph and the announcement of the exodus from Egypt as part of the fulfillment of the promise to Abraham. Thus the end of Genesis leads to the beginning of the book of Exodus. The last word of Genesis is: Egypt!

Thus, after many errors and confusions, a good end finally comes for the time being, where Yahweh, despite all human failures, makes his blessing come true and fulfills his promises to the fathers.
