4.1.1 Introduction

Life is a gift of God, therefore not within mankind’s power but solely God’s; it is set apart, “holy.” It is a fit. God is a friend of life. Death is the last enemy that will be destroyed! Among the multitude of Bible verses that address the sanctity of life are the following:

Genesis 1: Life is a gift from God

Genesis 9:6 “Whoever sheds human blood…” 

Rom 14:7 “For none of us lives for ourselves alone…”

Phil 1:22-24 remaining because “it is more necessary for you”
