How do you respond to those times of difficulty and darkness in your relationship with God?

Quote from “I am With You” by Fr John Woolley (from his reflections on what God spoke to him during his time of  prayer):

“Those showing compassion and forgiveness receive My own tender love and My deep understanding.   My strength will ensure you follow the example set by My blessed ones.  You need not look constantly to see whether their virtues have become yours … just know that as you covet those qualities and absorb yourself greatly with Me, all are being developed in you.  With me as Goal and Companion on your journey, you are sure of reaching My promised realm, even though this earth’s conditions may appear to your finite mind as obstacles.”
