Lesson 1 of 0

Compiling your sermon

Align your blocks to form a sermon.

Now you have the basic elements of your sermon together. Your next step is to combine these individual parts into a whole. The following steps will help you do this

  1. Pray for God to give impressions to the listeners. What should you say? Imagine your target group metaphorically. Who is sitting in front of you? What kind of questions could they have?
  2. Make up a story that you can run through all 4 blocks. If you don’t succeed, find gripping examples for each central theme.
  3. Remove unnecessary content and reduce your sermon by at least 1/3 of the text
  4. Check the transitions for consistency. Avoid mental leaps.

Now write down your sermon in its entirety.
