Lesson 11 of 10
    In Progress

    1.0 Biblical Basics and Overview

What does the Bible say about leadership and team building? As a leader, God is the perfect role model for leadership. In the creation story we see how he creates a task field and then introduces his first two co-workers to their task. Above all, he shows us how he leads, challenges, encourages and frees his employees to this day.

This first employee story can be found in Genesis 1-3

    Excerpt: 1, 26 – 31:

26 And God said, Let us make men, an image like unto us, that reign over the fish of the sea, and over the fowls of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the earth that creepeth upon the earth. 27 And God created man in his own image, and created him in the image of God, and created them as men and women. 28 And God blessed them, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and reign over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over all that creepeth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you all the plants that bring seed throughout all the earth, and all the trees with fruit that bring seed for your meat. 30 But to all the beasts of the earth, and to all the fowls of the air, and to all the worms that are upon the earth, I have given every green herb for food. And so it happened. 31 And God looked upon all that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

In these two creation stories we see the 6 most important lessons on leadership:

    1. The Leader
    2. The field of Activity
    3. The Teammates
    4. The Administering of tasks
    5. The Rules of the game
    6. The Adventure

I call this whole process the LATARA process.

    The story:

A Leader develops a task for a very important goal. Then he/she looks for Teammates, Administration of tasks sensibly among the team, sets the rules and runs off to pursue the goal on a great adventure journey stubbornly until it is reached.

Let’s go step by step through the history of creation with the LATARA process:
